Carol Nachtrab (b. 1941) of Napoleon, Ohio, served in Vietnam as a member of the Army Nurse Corps from 1970 to 1972. Carol Nachtrab was born in Napoleon, Ohio, in June of 1941. After graduating from Napoleon High School in 1959, she enrolled in nurses' training at Toledo Hospital School of Nursing in Toledo, Ohio. After a year, she was removed from the program. She completed her studies at Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Lima, Ohio. Her first nursing job was at Riverside-White Cross School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio. She worked there for eight years on the medical/surgical floor, as the evening supervisor, and finally as the staff development coordinator.
