Catherine Kay Cox (b. 1922) of Salem, Massachusetts, was a recruiter in the WAC (Women's Army Corps) during World War II. Catherine Kay Cox (b. 1922) of Salem, Massachusetts, attended Radcliffe College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She joined the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in August 1943 and was sent to the Second WAC Training Center at Daytona, Florida. In early 1944, Cox was assigned to Stark General Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. She was transferred to Mobile, Alabama, in April 1944, where she worked as a recruiter for the WAC until the end of the war.
