Elizabeth Betty Bachman (1917-2005), of Wapakoneta, Ohio, served with the Women's Army Auxilary Corps (WAAC) and the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during World War II. She worked to train new women recruits as the acting platoon sergeant for the 2nd Platoon at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
