Marjorie R. Suggs Edwards (1917-2005), of Passaic, New Jersey, worked in personnel, special services, and motor pool with the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) and Women's Army Corps (WAC) from February 1943 to December 1945. Following her military service, Edwards had a long career as an interior designer, primarily in Cincinnati, Ohio. Marjorie Randolph Suggs Edwards was born and raised in an immigrant community in Passaic, New Jersey, by her Cuban grandmother. She held several manufacturing and social work jobs before enlisting in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (later the WAC) in February 1943.
