Patricia Ann Chamings (b. 1940) served as a nurse in the Air National Guard (ANG) from 1970 to 2000, in addition to her civilian career as a nursing instructor and educator. In this capacity Chamings served as interim dean at the School of Nursing at University of North Carolina Greensboro from 1985 to 1990. Patricia Ann Chamings was born in Lakeland, Florida, on 21 June 1940 and grew up in Leesburg, Florida. She attended Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Orlando in 1958, and after graduating in 1961 worked for a year at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.
