Saundra Creen, of Hallsboro, North Carolina served in the United States WAF (Women in the Air Force) from 1968-1969. Saundra Creen was born in October 1949 and grew up in Hallsboro, North Carolina on her uncle's tobacco farm. Her mother was a homemaker, then worked at Dupont, and her father was a World War II Veteran. Saundra Creen graduated from Hallsboro High School in 1968. The same year she joined the U.S. Women in the Air Force (WAF). Creen went to Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, for basic training, then she went to Lowry Air Force Base in Denver for Tech School where she trained in supply.
