Mary Markarian Charpentier (1900-1996), of Nashua, New Hampshire, served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in 1945 as a medical technician. Mary Markarian Charpentier (1900-1996) served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in 1945. She did her basic training at Fort Ogelthorpe, Georgia and was assigned to Fort Devens in Massachusetts as medical technician. After her discharge from the WAC, Charpentier continued to work at the Fort Devens hospital until it closed in 1952. She then worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Concord Massachusetts until 1965. Charpentier then taught vocational courses for the University of New Hampshire extension classes and also served in the New Hampshire State Legislature from 1978-1996.
