"Resolved, That the United States Should Repeal the Eighteenth Amend» ment to the Constitution."2]0- Aside from these already outstanding literary activities, the entire school benefited in l926 from the pubu lication of a school yearbook, IDS Bennettite, prepared by the senior high school class.2H

A new dimension in student activities began in l92h-l925 with the organization of the Crown and Scepter Club, recognizing and encour= aging excellence in scholarship, character, and service. Besides set— ting “an example of wholesome leadership” through its members who were officers in other organizations, the Crown and Scepter Club offered two scholarship awards each year. At the time of the library drive, the

group gave to the library a twentynvolume set of books.212

Thus, at the end of Trigg's administration, a very active stu—

dent body, from seventh grade through the college senior year, and a

sizeable faculty comprised Bennett College. The attractive campus con— tained at least nine buildings, four of them new, and two of them be— longing to affiliate organizations. The financial situation was still

serious. Yet according to students of that period, the school outward-
