Description

The Raleighs owned Raleigh Broom Work, an early Black-owned business in Greensboro. Mr. Raleigh was a 33rd Degree Mason (the highest order) and an Eastern Star Shriner. He was also a member and Supreme Grand Senior Warden of the Modern Freemasons of the World. He was affiliated with numerous additional lodges. Mrs. Raleigh served as Queen for Eastern Star King David Lodge.
