This December 2, 1960 op-ed article by Carolee Wood was the first of a three part series published in the Greensboro College student newspaper, The Collegian. In this segment Wood describes several racially motivated events that had occurred in the South, including the Montgomery Bus boycotts and the sit-ins, and offered her opinion on how the world was viewing and judging racial issues in America and, in particular, the South.
