The Whitsett Student features a collection of original writings by students of the Whitsett Academy. This 1898 issue also features notes and comments of the mathematics department by Professor J. M. Bandy. Includes a half-page advertisement for the North Carolina Teacher's Assembly of which Dr. W. T. Whitsett served as secretary and treasurer. The next to last page includes advertisements for Whitsett businesses.
