Description
This scrapbook is a large collection of various documents from 1933 to 1939 assembled by one North Carolina A&T State University student. Rare photographs, greeting & invitation cards, telegraphs and other rare ephemera document student Virgil C. Stroud's journey as editor in chief of the A&T Register and as a member of the A&T Choral Group. His scrapbook collection also has rare pamphlets for summer and spring commencements, choral/vespers programs, and flyers & invitations to campus or community organizations. Especially unique are an invitation to the dedication of the Richard B. Harrison Auditorium, tickets to Aggie season games, and a brochure for a 1938 performance by Kryl and his symphony orchestra. Also there are many rare photographs, letters, and notes from Aggie staff and fellow students including F. D. Bluford, W.T. Gibbs, and various student associations.
