Ann Dearsley-Vernon (1938-2015) graduated from Woman's College (WC), now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1960. She is most known for her participation in the Greensboro Sit-ins in February 1960. Dearsley-Vernon continues an earlier interview that ended with technical difficulties. She describes the reaction of the people involved in the Greensboro Sit-ins at Woolworth's, including employees of the store, the other participants, and the protestors. She recalls being expelled from the college for her participation in the Sit-ins and her subsequent reinstatement. Dearsley-Vernon explains why she decided to participate in the event and the reaction of her teachers. She concludes the interview by discussing a cause she is now participating in called Equality Virginia.
