Description
Dr. Robert Gatten was born in 1944 in Lexington, Kentucky. He attended the College of William and Mary for his Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and the University of Michigan for his Ph.D. Dr. Gatten began to work at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1978. During his time at the university he has acted as Professor, Head of the Biology Department, and Associate Dean of the UNCG College of Arts and Sciences. He has published over 50 articles and book chapters on the physiology of exercise, diving, hibernation, and food processing. In his interview, Dr. Gatten discusses his early life, research, and career at UNCG.
