At the time of this interview (Fall 2023), Rachel Estrera was a senior student at UNCG. Estrera was born in New York and later moved to North Carolina. She talks about her family, early life and going to high school in Jamestown, NC. Estrera discusses why she decided to attend UNCG and her decision to major in consumer, apparel, and retail studies. At the time of the interview, Estrera does not have a job, but had worked previously and talked about the challenges of balancing a job and being a student. She talks about her experience joining Kappa Phi Lambda and the opportunities she has had with them. Estrera also talks about her experience growing up as a Filipino America and her experience specifically at UNCG. She shares her COVID-19 pandemic memories and how she coped with it. The interview concludes with Estrera sharing with us her post graduation plans and what UNCG means to her.
