Moderate greenish-blue (C173) ultra fine diagonal rib cloth; elaborate two piece stamp on front cover in black, with upper portion a crown with rays above two banners lettered in reserved blue and an ornate medallion with fleurs-de-lis, lower portion with a lion standing on a crown surrounded by a wreath with a banner and two overlapping crosses below, all within a black triple rule border; design repeated on back cover in blindstamp; spine stamped with same design in gilt with author's name in gilt and black triple rules at head and foot.
