Abstract

Students who have disabilities sometimes need some extra assistance with academics and social life when in college. This is due to limitations posed by the presence of their disability and the inaccessibility of certain areas in their campus. Disability support services are designed to combat these issues and create accessible options for students in the college setting. This study aims to look at how well students with physical and intellectual/developmental disabilities are being served in post-secondary education programs. Sometimes, there are areas that accommodations do not cover, creating a need for services. The review aims find out what those areas are and if I CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist) could help them create these plans to help them in social, academic, and independent living situations.
