Deep green (C142) patterned sand grain cloth; gilt central vignette of seated woman holding knife and bowl (after frontispiece found in My opinions and Betsey Bobbet's), blindstamped ornamental frame within thin-thin-thick rule border, rear cover with blindstamped frame and border only; spine lettered in gilt and reserved green, gilt rules, floral ornaments and publisher's device; tan endpapers. H: 20.6 cm.; W: 13.6 cm.; D: 4.2 cm.
