Very dark red (C17) ungrained silk cloth; cover stamped and embossed in glossy and matte gold with coat of arms of England, with 3 lions on shield and crowned helm above surrounded my decorative mantling, all within gilt single rule border; spine lettered and ruled in gilt with central gilt medallion of Saint George and the dragon; top edges gilt, silk ribbon bookmark bound in.
