Mentioned in the March 5,1928 notes is a tribute to the late Bertha Sternberger. The tribute discusses her husband, Emanuel Sternberger and her work and dedication to the Greensboro Jewish community. It mentioned how the Sternbergers opened their home to all Jewish people in the city and that it was center for the community until the Greene Street Temple was built. Bertha Sternberger served on the Council of the Ladies Auxiliary before it merged with the Sisterhood, Chairman of Temple Emanuel's Ground Committee, and a founder of the North Carolina Association for Jewish Women. In addition she created a scholarship fund for Hebrew Union College and started Temple Emanuel's Reference Library. The four-page tribute was typed on Mrs. Julius W. Cone's letterhead.
