The meeting minutes opened with a talk from Helen Chandley about the City Board of Welfare. Etta Spier read the resolutions written by the Temple in condolence for the deaths of Bertha (Mrs. E) Sternberger and Julius Cone. Discussion included aiding Ellis Island immigrants and the Travelers Aid by sewing clothing, flannel kimonos, sheets, and pillowcases. In addition 18 infant slips were sent to the Hadassah Milk Fund and volunteers working with children at St. Leo's Hospital. Mrs. Charles Weill discusses a magazine article about vetoing the Women's Naval Program.
