Description

Made by Wells L. Brewer. A death mask of the founder and first president of the State Normal and Industrial School (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro), Dr. Charles Duncan McIver. Made after McIvers death in such a manner that portrait busts could later be constructed from the mask. The statues on this campus and in Raleigh were created from this mask.
