Annual and biannual reports of the State Normal & Industrial School, composed between 1894 and 1904, many by Dr. Charles D. McIver. Each reports explains the progress, needs, goals, and history of the college and the work of the Board of Directors and faculty. Topics include funding from the Peabody foundation, the development of a new library and gymnasium, efforts of Laura M. Coit to provide teaching opportunites for girls in Western North Carolina, an report on the necessity of a liberal post-secondary college for white women in the south, statistics of the educational and socio-economic backgrounds of students, creation of the State and Normal Magazine, the campus water supply from the city of Greensboro, treasurer and burser reports, E.J. Fornery, M.C.S. Noble, J.M. Spainhour, B.F. Aycock, Josephus Daniels, and Edwards & Broughton.
