Correspondence of various members and associates of the Southern Education Board and public schools of North Carolina in 1902. Some of these letters are addressed to or written by Dr. Charles D. McIver. Topics include Charles W. Dabney director of the Southern Education Board, Madison County, Yancey County, and Hawkins County of Tennessee, Palmer Dalrymple, Josephus Daniels, B.F. Dixon and the North Carolina Soldier s Home, Randolph-Macon College, Watauga Academy, P.T. Durham, and Trinity College. Also included are a report on the condition of Buncombe County Public Schools, a letter announcing the new Southern Education Notes periodical, and The Southern Workman periodical.
