Letters, pamphlets, postcards and other correspondence exchanged by various members of the Southern Education Board in 1902. Some of the letters are written by or addressed to Dr. Charles D. McIver. Includes letters to Dr. McIver by F.C. Abbott (including an essay letter titled Illiteracy in North Carolina ), W.T. Albright, the Union Institute, Tulane University of Louisiana, J.T. Alderman of Henderson Public Schools, J.H Allen of Dobson Public Schools, Charles B. Aycock, Abram J. Moye of Freedonia Farm and Edwin Alderman. Also included is a notice for a speech by Booker T. Washington.
