Description

Primarily documents the life of Lisa Gibbs Potts and her service with the United States Marine Corps. Potts recalls the inspiring leadership she had throughout her time in the U.S. Marine Corps, and the lessons she learned along the way, including the need to have humility when in positions of leadership. She also recalls the importance of sharing personal knowledge with marines of lower rank, and the need to accept responsibility, not only for her own actions, but for the marines under her command. Potts describes the cryptologic and counterintelligence training she received, working as the Casualty Assistance Calls Office (CACO), and training to become a chaser, transferring service members who have been sentenced to the brig from their unit.
