Description
Wendy Gellert tells of her early life and career in the WAVES and United States Navy. Gellert emphasizes both the stages of her career and the cultural changes within the navy during the time of her service. She relates policy changed within the navy to the civilian culture during the 1960s and 1970s, particularly the progress in opportunities for women in the navy.
