Description

Primarily documents the life of Felicia Marie Dahl and her service with the United States Army. Dahl recalls the strain she felt during deployment due to the lack of medics, the difficulty of losing people, especially during a mass casualty situation while in Iraq, and her eventual emotional breakdown due to being scared and her belief that it would be her fault if anyone died because she had been in charge of overseeing the medical facility set-up. Dahl describes the sexual harassment she endured from male superiors, and her need to prove herself to the males by going above and beyond what they were required to do. She also recalls the personal sacrifices she made when it came to being both a mother and a servicemember.
