Coast Guard SPAR enlisted winter blue uniform, including tailored navy blue wool blouse with distinctive rounded collar with SPARs insignia, four blue plastic Coast Guard buttons, and embroidered Coast Guard shield on lower right sleeve, circa 1943. Worn with white shirtwaist and black tie by SPARs working in Washington, D.C. Uniforms worn by SPARs were identical to those worn by WAVES except for insignia and labels.
