Dinah Lynn Wellborn Pinney (b. 1956), of Boone, North Carolina, served with the United States Women's Army Corps (WAC) from 1974-1976 and the United States Air Force Nurse Corps as an OBG nurse and then a Nurse Midwife from 1985 to 2003. Pinney retired with the rank of Major.
