Janet Bower Hughes (1911-2012), of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, served in the United States Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) and the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during World War II. After her basic training in Daytona, Florida, she was stationed at the Army Air Training field, Georgia.
