Mary Virginia Ginger Jacocks (b. 1950), of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, served in Intelligence in the United States Marine Corps from 1974-1997. She retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Ginger Jacocks was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on March 8th, 1950, growing up in East Baton Rouge Parish. Upon graduation from high school, she went to Southeastern Louisiana University, where she majored in physical education, graduating in 1972. She then taught physical education at Baker High School, again in East Baton Rouge Parish. She then returned to Southeastern Louisiana University for a master's degree in physical education with an emphasis in physiology of exercise.
