Marguerite Brendlinger Robinson (1923-2016) of Norristown, Pennsylvania, served in the United States Navy Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES) during World War II. Marguerite Margy Brendlinger Robinson was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, on February 12, 1923. After graduation from high school in 1940, she attended Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Virginia. Robinson joined the United States Navy Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES) in 1944. She attended Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, for basic training and Officer Candidate School. She was stationed in Washington, D.C., after completing her training.
