Nina M. Greenlee (1907-2004) of Old Fort, North Carolina, served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) from 1943 to 1948 and then taught school at overseas bases for the Department of Defense for seventeen years. Nina M. Greenlee was born in Old Fort, North Carolina, and attended Marion High School. She graduated from the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro) in 1930 with an English degree. After graduation, she taught English and history in McDowell County, North Carolina. Greenlee joined the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in June 1943.
