Rebecca Ann Lloyd (1929-2013) of Greensboro, North Carolina, served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1972. In the early 1950s Lloyd was an engineering assistant on the staff of Admiral H.G. Rickover during the development of the first nuclear-powered submarine. Lloyd began a career in commercial real estate when she left the military.
