Marjorie Wolff German (1923-2011) of Plymouth, Wisconsin, served as a nurse in the Army Nurse Corps (ANC) during World War II. Marjorie Wolff German was born in Plymouth, Wisconsin on 6 June, 1923. She enrolled in nursing school at Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated in 1944. German joined the ANC in 1944 and was sent to Camp McCoy, Wisconsin for basic training. Following basic training she was sent to Charleston, South Carolina, and then was transferred to San Diego, California and New York, New York before finally being stationed at Fort Kilmer, New Jersey. She served on the United States Army Hospital Ship <em>Wisteria</em> that went back and forth between New Jersey and Bremerhaven, Germany carrying American wounded and prisoners of war.
