Collection finding aid (offsite)
This scrapbook, created by Nettie Marvin Allen between [DATES?], documents Allen's experience at the State Normal and Industrial School (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Scrapbook materials document Allen's work as a teacher at the State Normal and Industrial School and as a nurse at Westbook Sanatorium Training School in Richmond, Virginia and the State Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. Also included are names and signatures of people Allen met, along with descriptions of where and when she met them. There are photographs of college friends, including Mary Webb Nicholson and Anna Gove, who was photographed in France during World War I.
