Tammella Fletcher (b.1963), of Jacksonville, Florida, served in the United States Navy from 1985-1991. Tammella Fletcher was born 14 January 1963 in Jacksonville, Florida. During her childhood, her family moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and then to Davie County, North Carolina. After Fletcher graduated from Davie County High School in Mocksville, North Carolina, she began attending Western Carolina University. After four years and feeling as if she was getting nowhere with her education due to a lack of motivation, Fletcher decided to join the United States Navy.
