Poteat discusses specifics of her specialization, leisure-time activities at the various locations of her service, particular accomplishments during her service, and political figures of the time, especially Richard Nixon. She also tells of being blocked from reenlisting, despite her accomplishments in her service, which she ascribes to a personality clash with a particular supervisor.
