Primarily Documents Elizabeth Anne Helm-Frazier and her time in the military. She talks about growing up in a predominantly African American community and how her father was also in the military during the Korean War. She goes into detail about her training and her experience as a career counselor and working in hospitals during active combat while also talking about the effects of 9/11. Helm-Frazier also talks about the people in the military and mentors that really helped her shape her career and her experience with mentoring in return. She also touches on topics such as racial and gender discrimination, and how women in the military were viewed but also the progress she witnessed over the 26 years of service.
