The bulk of the scrapbook's material dates from 1943 to 1945 with one photograph dated circa 1927. The scrapbook documents White's military service as a member of the SPARS band at the Biltmore Training Station in Palm Beach, Florida through newspaper clippings, her personal history, and service record as well as photographs of band activities, comrades, family back home, friends, and leisure activities. Also included are White's handwritten list of famous people she met or saw, list of relatives who served in the military, list of special friends, as well as pre-printed lists of military terms, period popular songs, and slang.
